Mr. Curiousity

Devon has been so much more curious about his surroundings these past few weeks! Yesterday, Ben was holding Devon on our big comfy chair, and all of a sudden Devon's eyes became focused on a green glass that was sitting on the armrest. It only had a small amount of water in it, however, Devon thought it was quite the treat! The pictures below tell the whole story!

A Solid Five and Five

Life has been so busy for our family! Ben and I are getting married in 5 months! We have so much to do before the big day. With the help from my parents, we already have gotten a lot done. My mom and I went shopping for my bridal gown about 2 months ago, and found a gown that is absolutely gorgeous! I just need to make an appointment for my final fitting. We already have our venue, our photographer, our cake decorator, our DJ, and hopefully our florist. We are getting so excited!

Also, Devon is now five months old! It is so hard to believe! He keeps getting more and more fun as he is getting older. He keeps Ben and I laughing constantly. Besides grabbing his toes and rolling over, he just started sucking on his toes as well! :) Here is a picture of him right after his bath being a goofball!

Ben and I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful son. He hardly ever cries, and when he does he's totally predictable. He's been sleeping approximately 10 hours a night without waking up (...he was sleeping through the night ever since he was 6 weeks old). When he wakes up, he always greets us with a big Devon smile and his chatty giggly voice. Throughout the day, we have so much fun playing! He has a very infectious smile and laugh. :) Here are some pictures of his giggly self

Last weekend Ben and I decided to start Devon out on solids. His pediatrician said he was ready a little after 4 months, but we wanted to wait. It was so cute watching him eat solid food for the first time. He is the best eater. We feed him a little bit of fruit, veggies and cereal all by itself. He LOVES food, and always lets us know when it's time to eat! :) Daddy fed Devon for the first time in the the last picture (where he is in a brown puppy sleeper). I think they both were having so much fun.... there is food everywhere!! :)

Grandmas and Grandpas... OH MY!

What a crazy couple of weeks! Ben and I have experienced a lot of "news" these past few weeks! Devon visited the emergency room at Mary Bridge Children's Hospital for the first time ever on February 23rd due to a really bad cold and two nasty ear infections. Devon was put on antibiotics and started feeling better immediately! During that same week, Dev spent the weekend with my parents (Papa and Nani) because I too became sick with some sort of flu. Ben and I wanted to protect him as much as possible, which was quite the treat for Papa and Nani!

The next week, February 25th-29th, Devon rolled over for the first time on his own. Sadly, Ben and I both missed this due to our crazy work schedules. We tried to get him to do it again that same evening, but I think he was too worn out from his day! :-)

March 1st-March 10th, Ben's parents (Grandma and Papa) came from Boise, Idaho to spend time with Devon, Ben and me. Devon hasn't seen his grandparents since he was a few weeks old due to their location. It was quite a treat for all of us! :-) On Saturday March 9th both of our families got together at Genghis Kahn to celebrate my mom's birthday. (Although Ben's mom and I went on quite a memorable scenic route using a navigation device called a "Tom-Tom", and needless to say, we were a tad bit late to meet everyone!) It was so much fun getting to see both Grandmas and Grandpas at the same time!

Today, Ben's parents, Ben, Devon and me spent the day in downtown Seattle. We walked around the Pier and ate at the Salmon Cooker for lunch/dinner... it was so yummy! Ben's parents also never rode a ferry before, so we all decided to take the Bainbridge ferry to and from Seattle. It was Devon's first time riding the Bainbridge ferry, and he loved it! He trully was an angel throughout the whole day. When we got home, Ben and I saw Devon roll over all by himself! We were so excited! We couldn't have asked for a better day! Below are pictures of our day in Seattle and on the ferry.
